A pair of monkeys crossed our paths the other day. Was only able to capture the bigger one. The small one had already scampered up a tree.
Mariposa
Well here’s what to expect if you live in the midst of several nature parks. This beautiful thing flitted in last night and didn’t want to leave.
I couldn’t let it die a common death inside the kitchen so in the end I scooped it in a plastic takeaway bowl and let it go from the window facing the most trees.
Runaway Train
Henri and I took a walk one day and guess what we found. Train tracks! Specifically train tracks of the old skool trains that ply the Malaysia - Singapore route. I think it also goes straight to Thailand but I’ll need to check that first.
One day when we’re not too busy, we’re gonna go visit the Bukit Timah Railway Station. Sometime before July would be best. Heard they were closing the tracks down permanently. :(

At first I thought it was a tourist ride. Then I realized after seeing one on the highway that people still do use it as a mode of transport around these parts. Amazing.
